Happy Labor Day!
It’s the first Monday in September. Labor Day is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers, which constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of their country.
Labor Day has come to be celebrated by most Americans as the symbolic end of the summer. In high society, Labor Day is (or was) considered the last day of the year when it is fashionable to wear white. Pfft…I’ll wear white if I want to. I’m not, “high society.” I’m partially redneck, damnit.
Labor Day also marks the beginning of the NFL season. Go Dallas Cowboys!
Note to Tony Romo: I still think you should have been traded, but stupid ass Jerry Jones won’t admit that he was wrong about you, so you received a 6-year contract for $108 million. YOU BETTER PLAY LIKE IT, MUDDER PUCKER!!
My opinion is that pro players make too much money. That’s what is wrong with this country. Our teachers should make that much!
Phew, that escalated quickly. Anyway, I hope everyone has a wonderful Labor Day!
