Weekly Wrap-Up #10

It’s that time for the Weekly Wrap-Up! Aren’t you excited? I can tell that you are.

Facebook Fail: Yep, Mark Zuckerburg, et al nailed me! I’m not easily embarrassed, but I kinda, sorta blushed a little on this one. I even looked over my shoulders to see if I was being punked, but Moose (the dog), Jacob (the other dog) and Jasper (the cat) said they had nothing to do with it. I’m suspicious of the cat.

So Then…: I introduced you to a funny blogger. If you missed this post, please be sure to check it out. You’ll be glad you did. I know for a fact that Jasper had nothing to do with this one. He has no sense of humor.

Whenever I…: A series of .gif’s again. After Monday and Tuesday, I figured out that the rest of the week would be posts like this one. Live with it. I had to.

Bored: The title just about sums it up. I think my brain was frazzled from worrying about getting the job or not. Doing these types of posts doesn’t require much thinking on my part, but yet they make me look like one creative mudderpucker. I’ll go with that.

Pins and Needles: As I said, I was on pins and needles waiting to hear back about the job. I reflected my feelings with .gif’s. You’re welcome.

After reading the comments from all of you on Friday, I sent an email to the President asking for an update, etc. I was professional with my carefully chosen words and thanked him again for taking the time to meet with me. Blah, blah, blah.

I still haven’t heard anything. Granted, I didn’t send it my follow-up email until Friday afternoon and he might have left early for the weekend. If I don’t hear anything by Monday evening, I’m giving up. It’s not like I’ve stopped looking for a job. Quite the opposite, in fact. It’s just very discouraging when a company builds up your hopes and makes things seem very promising, only to leave you guessing. I think it’s rude for companies to say, “We’ll let you know either way. We don’t want to leave you hanging,” and then you never hear from them again. What happened to a time when people followed through with what they say? I’m curious.

Anyway, I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and enjoy the rest of your Sunday. Flip the script this time…don’t dread Monday.

I hope that you hear something about the job tomorrow. I think it was a smart idea sending an email it shows that you have a vested interest in getting the job. It’s the little things that can often be the determining factor with hiring. Good luck :)

Frugal Foodie, can you send me your website URL to my email @ gkadams(at)funnylifestories(dot)com? I have a feeling that I’m missing out on a possibly great food (or something else) blog. Thanks!

I’ll send the email :) I am finally being better about following my email list, I think I have been following you for a long time, I just am finally getting better about being more interactive.

The follow up email sounds like a good idea. With any luck, you should know soon.
