Wordless Wednesday #6

It’s Wordless Wednesday again!

This spider comes around every Spring and sticks around throughout the Summer. I have no idea what kind of spider it is, so if you know, well…maybe let me know? In the second picture, you can see the zig zag-type web it weaves. This eight-legged source of extreme fright is actually kind of shy. I had to use the zoom lens on the camera to get close enough, because when I tried to just get the camera close enough without using the zoom lens, he or she tried to run away. So did I when the spider moved, but the shit it my pants kept me frozen out of fear of the shit running down my leg and into my shoes. Messy. Of course, it would have been worse if the spider actually came after me, then I would have left a trail of shit in my wake.

    Those are two great shots! Love all the detail you can see. And yes, I’d be s!@#$ing in my pants too if a spider came after me. We don’t kill anything in our house, so we’ll (my husband) will run around like idiots trying to capture it and throw it over the neighbours wall. Hehehe.

      I don’t kill anything either, but I have no problem scooting them out of the door and (harshly) telling them to never come back again. It never works.

      I can’t either. If it has more legs than I do and it’s not a dog or cat or some other friendly furry creature, then yeah, I have a problem.

    I have a huge spider that hangs out outside of my office window during the summer. I call her my assistant. I figure she’s keeping flies and other bugs away. As long as she stays outside, we’re good!

    That is a really cool photo, but spiders like that also freak me out and I feel kind of nauseous looking at this. Still, I’d say it was worth you shitting your pants. :)
