Blip TV
I was perusing the Interwebs like I do sometimes and ran across a really cute website, called Blip (or Blip TV), that hosts a variety of shows and videos.
Apparently, this is a newly emerging medium called Web Television where up-and-coming producers post a series of episodes (or webisodes) on the Interwebs for free. They don’t host movies or regular TV shows though, but you can catch a glimpse of some pretty cute shows. There are even some videos for you do-it-yourselfers out there. Yes, “yourselfers” is a word. I just made it up, but it’s still a word. Feel free to use it anytime! You’re welcome!
Anyway, there are a wide variety of categories, including: Video Games, Comedy, Animated, Cartoon & Comics, Woodworking, Drama, How-Tos & DIY, Music, Health & Fitness, Educational, Celebrity Entertainment, Food & Drink, Parenting & Family, News & Politics, Sports & Cars, Talk & Interview, Technology, and Fashion & Beauty Webisodes.
You can even connect your Facebook account and share the episodes you’re watching or the series you are following. When you sign up for the free account on Blip TV, you can also follow your favorite videos and comment on them too!
Naturally, I stumbled across the comedy shows – Duh! What else did you think I would do? — and saw a really cute series of videos called, “Old Jews Telling Jokes.” It’s a web series directed by Sam Hoffman that shows, well, the older Jewish generation telling risque jokes.
I just love the elderly and I think that have this certain style when telling jokes. There’s no drama or overacting (which I tend to dislike tremendously) and these men and women lead you along through their “stories” and deliver a perfect punch line, where you find yourself either bursting out laughing or quietly giggling. Either way, this was an awesome way to begin my day.
